Social media training

Training marketing teams on social media and content management.

By: Martin Thomas

I have delivered every type of social media workshop, from multi-day programmes to accelerated learning sessions for senior leadership teams. The content and format of each workshop is tailored to the specific needs of each client, factoring-in their level of experience, business category in which they operate and the regulatory environment.

A typical workshop covers the following topics:

  • Potential benefits of using social media
  • Risk management and corporate governance.
  • Managing and maintaining a personal online brand.
  • Trends and emerging opportunities.
  • Developing a social media strategy.
  • Social media and cultural change.

In some cases, the workshop is preceded by an audit of the client’s social media performance, (including its exposure to risk), allowing me to focus content on its specific needs or opportunities.

I was the course leader on digital and social media for the Institute of Directors, in which capacity I developed and delivered training social media workshops for senior managers across the UK.

I have also run social media workshops for The Royal College of Nursing, Bank Muscat, Medical Protection Society, Sport England, Jägermeister, Commonwealth Games England, Fleetcor, The Officers’ Association, Rank Group, GD Law and Irish Marketing Institute.
